  • Pass the required exam with 70% or higher

Kansas City Plumbing Journeyman Exam

To get the journeyman license in Kansas City, you need to sit and pass the required exam for a journeyman certificate of qualification in Kansas City, that is the journeyman plumbing with a gas examination, administered by Prometric.

You can visit the Prometric website to register for and schedule your exam and upon finishing the exam, you must pass the test with a 70% or above to become eligible for certification.

Kansas City Plumbing Apprenticeship Requirements

In Kansas City, an apprenticeship does not need to become a journeyman.

St. Louis Plumbing License Reciprocity

It is worth mentioning that St Louis does offer license by reciprocity for a previously licensed journeyman or master plumbers.

To be eligible for licensure by reciprocity in St. Louis you will need the following:

  • A copy of any/all active licenses if you possess more than one
  • A signed and notarized letter from any current or former relevant employers verifying your work experience meets the county requirements

St. Louis Plumbing Journeyman License Requirements

Aspiring plumbing journeymen in St. Louis will need to apply for licensure by examination upon graduation from their training program or apprenticeship.

To register for your journeyman license, future plumbers will need to:

  • Register at the Office of Plumbing and Sewer Inspection
  • Pay all applicable fees
  • Take and pass the journeyman exam set by the county

St. Louis Plumbing Journeyman Exam
